Rewards letter Dear Parents, Mrs. Pace and I are so appreciative of the effort and hard work that you are doing in Distance Learning with our students. We are proud of the hard work and progress that our students are making in Distance Learning. We have decided upon a way to reward them now. We are going to have Gift Card/Prizes giveaways. We are going to have the first drawings on Monday, April 20, 2020. It will include the week of April 6- 10 and the week of April 13-17th. The following are the guidelines to be entered into the drawings. We are going to hold the entries to the parts of our Distance Learning that we can monitor and actually see the students’ work.
We will have two drawings each time. Students can get their names into the drawings by doing the following things.
There will be a drawing for the Reading work. Entries will be determined by the following:
One entry each week for RAZ Kids. You must listen to, read on your own, and pass the test for the assigned books.
One entry each week for i-Ready Reading. You must complete the weekly assignment and pass the test that is a part of it.
One entry each week for Accelerated Reader. You must take and pass three AR tests. The books and Articles must be Grade 3 or above and your score must be 80 or above. We would prefer that our students read 1 book and 2 AR Articles; however, we realize that some chapter books are quite long and that available books in the home might be limited.
3. There will be a drawing for the Math accomplishments. Entries will be determined by the following:
One entry each week for i-Ready Math. You must complete the weekly assignments and pass the test.
One entry each week for Prodigy Math. You must log-in and play for one hour each week. That is an average of 15 minutes a day for 5 days.
One entry each week for xTra Math. You must practice 25-30 minutes each week in either multiplication or division.
These are the guidelines for any student who does not Internet and is completing written work at home. These must be submitted to me as a photo in Class DoJo or School Status.
One entry for 6 completed pages of Math from the workbooks you received in the Resource package.
One entry for 3 completed pages of the Handwriting book you received in the Resource package and for one written summary of one of the books you are reading. The summary must be a well written paragraph describing the story. You must do both of these to get a Reading entry.
Keep in mind that the more work you complete, the more entries you will have. HOWEVER, WINNING IS BASED UPON THE LUCK OF THE DRAW. Each entry has a chance of winning. The more entries you have the greater your chances are of winning. Good Luck! Love and miss you!
